Designing a Drug prescription delivery.
This is a conceptual brief for an imaginative company called Medicplus.
The Brief
The medicplus app allows customers to create a medication list, scroll through the long list of drugs, check for drugs through sickness type and order the drugs
Research Phase
This project was conducted by alone and for the research phase, i conducted a competitor analysis, user interview and had a card sort to decide on it information architecture.
Interview
After conducting five interviews
Here are some key insights
- Users prefer an interface with less colour range and also less pages to make ordering process shorter.
- Users prefer a very direct userflow
Competitive Analysis
This was done by looking at direct competitors, from small store apps to established ones. I also checked out drug prescripyion websites pages.
From my data;
- Users want a very direct user flow
Card Sorts
This was conducted to determine the apps information architecture and how users intuitively put drug inventory in groups and how the userflow would be as well.
With these insights i created a persona to make all user needs were directly met.
Scenerio- Henshaw gets home from work and realizes she forgot to pick her prescription from the pharmacy close to her work place.
To determine how Henshaw would navigate through the app, a userflow was created.
Registraton — Search/Drug list/Search through sickness type — Add to cart — Pay — Delivery info.
Henshaw
- 31
- Developer
- Asthma patient
Habits
- Works late
- Picks up medication at pharmacy close to work
Needs
- Wants to be able to order medication from any location
- Doesn’t want the hassle that comes with app ads.
Design Phase
With a clear idea of how users would navigate through the app, i commenced design.
First i made some lofi screen sketch in my notepad and made use of figma for the high fidelity or mockup screen designs.
